Background

I'm a software engineer working across the full development lifecycle — backend systems, API design, cloud infrastructure, and observability. I've shipped production systems in Python, FastAPI, Node.js, C#/.NET, and React, including an agent framework that became my company's internal standard and a language-agnostic observability platform built on OpenTelemetry and Grafana Cloud.

Most of my recent work sits at the intersection of AI and infrastructure: retrieval pipelines, agent orchestration, and the unglamorous plumbing that makes LLM systems reliable enough to put in front of real users.

I'm currently a part-time Software Engineer at Ellinov Technologies and an AI Engineering Intern at DEVCON Philippines — where I build Kai, an offline companion robot that runs its entire speech and reasoning pipeline on-device. I hold a BS in Computer Science, Cum Laude, from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig.

Away from the screen I sing, cycle, and read more astronomy and physics than is strictly useful for my job.

  1. AI Engineering Intern

    Current

    May 2026 – Present

    • Building Kai, an offline companion robot on a Jetson Orin Nano — face tracking, wake word, on-device speech recognition, local RAG, and speech synthesis with no cloud on the conversation path.
    • Designed the system to degrade rather than fail: a missing camera, servo, or microphone becomes a reported state the robot runs through instead of a startup crash.
    • Built the vision, audio, and serial layers behind test seams with injected clocks, giving 1,173 tests that run in about 33 seconds without hardware, network, or models.

  2. Software Engineer (Part-Time / Contractor)

    • Engineered a production-grade Solution Architect Agent in pure Python (OpenAI SDK, ChromaDB RAG, MCP server) that automated feature request → architecture design; adopted as the company's internal agent framework standard.
